So after replacing the main shaft, tail unit, swash plate, and mixing flybar the tbe is worse than ever.. I'm at a loss, i don't know what to do...

You replaced those things concerning the flight characteristics.
So assume there are no broken or worn to those components.
Let checking..
- blades tightness.
- all rotor head links(4) for the end ball roughness/proper location.
- both the hub and antirotation collar lined up with the balls so that the links were bind free.
Note : The instruction manual troubleshooting guide.
Aircraft hovers with a circular effect on its own
• Damaged rotor blades
• Missing or loose rotor head linkage

When I upgraded my flybar to the MicroHeli one I had some pretty significant TBE and some dry (evaporating) silicone spray cleared it right up, a tip I got from Hawzzy.
Besides that you could sand the main shaft and the ball-links on the swashplate, flybar, and blade grips a little to let the flybar rock as freely as possible. Also, I'm pretty sure the linkages only snap on one way, so make sure you don't have any on backwards.
Good luck! _________________ Align: Trex 250 3GX + Trex 450 Pro with Vbar

I have all the linkages on the right way, sanded any rough spots down, changed the main blades and put the linkages back to the "noob" swashplate settings and that helped out alot... I still need to get some more ball links and replace the other two, but for now it seems to be alot better after the tweaks....
thanks for the help guys, i really appreciate it.. _________________ BLADE CX2, 120SR, SR, Scout CX, ESky Big Lama, E500

I probably do need to get new blade grips and a anti-rotation collar also, hopefully that will help as well.. _________________ BLADE CX2, 120SR, SR, Scout CX, ESky Big Lama, E500

Tried everything, replaced dang near the whole heli. The thing still does the whole tbe thing, badly, isn't responsive at all. I have to use almost full forward elevator to keep it from TBE'ing but with almost full forward elevator it doesn't want to fly forward, even in no wind... I don't know what else to do.. The thing flies but the TBE is bad and cyclic input can calm it a little but I can't really get too much forward flight.. Forget about figure eights..

Sand the main shaft and ball-links more? Get a can of dry-type silicone spray?
I'm running out of ideas lol, you just need to get that flybar rocking completely freely. _________________ Align: Trex 250 3GX + Trex 450 Pro with Vbar

I will try the silicone spray, but the flybar seems to be rocking freely as is... Thanks for the advice.. _________________ BLADE CX2, 120SR, SR, Scout CX, ESky Big Lama, E500

It's a long shot but check to see that the links are connected to the correct ball links on the flybar and rotor.
You might want to try taking everything on the rotor shaft apart and carefully put it back together, I often find the oddest problem this way and the littlest thing can cause TBE. _________________ If only I could fly as well as I spend money I don't have...

I'll check it out.. Ever since I crashed it HARD...!!! it flies, and I can cancel out the TBE with a lot of elevator input, but with no input on the sticks it just goes all over the place.. Not very controllable.... I'm wondering if thats just the nature of the beast, or if there is some underlying cause... the only thing I have left to replace is the anti-rotation collar, rotor head and blade grips.. I'm gonna try that silicone spray.. Take everything attached to the main shaft off and spray it and reassemble and try again... I don't know if its my 120SR or if they all act this way.. I'm tempted to buy another one and see how that flies, now that I know what I'm doing behind the sticks...
Still though, before I go CP I want another 4ch FP or two... Any good recommendations on a good 4 ch FP heli that has great reliability, durability and parts availability that is under $200?? _________________ BLADE CX2, 120SR, SR, Scout CX, ESky Big Lama, E500

I suppose it's conceivable that the frame itself is warped if it was such a hard crash and nothing else is fixing the TBE. Although I did have a case of TBE on my CX3 that nothing seemed to clear up except evaporating silicone spray.
But I just want to be sure; it is TBE and not just out of trim, right? When you let go of the sticks does it drift around in big circles or does it drift away in one particular direction? _________________ Align: Trex 250 3GX + Trex 450 Pro with Vbar

it goes in crazy big circles, with the nose tipping up and down as it goes.. When I give it full forward elevator it stops, but doesn't want to fly forward very well, even on advanced swashplate settings... I'll get it sorted out... Think I can get the silicone spray at walmart? _________________ BLADE CX2, 120SR, SR, Scout CX, ESky Big Lama, E500

Walmart probably won't have the dry-type, but that doesn't really matter.
In the meantime, since it doesn't like to fly forward, you might try lengthening the elevator servo linkage a few turns. _________________ Align: Trex 250 3GX + Trex 450 Pro with Vbar

The great thing about the DRY or EVAPORATING type is that it leave NO residue and its SOOO slick that NOTHING will stick to it...unlike traditional lubes.
I was going to suggest sanding the links with some high grit wet dry sand paper...but someone already did.
When i had bad TBE on a heli once, upon further inspection...i had pushed the ball links PAST their seat on the ball and my flybar was flopping around looser than ever...BUT things were just not right!!!

It is such a pronounced TBE effect I suspect something is wrong, BIG style...although it could be a small "thing".
The 120SR IS the heli I would suggest because usually it is a solid as a rock and fits the criteria you mentioned, you're just having a crap time with yours unfortunately.
It sounds weird but try the blade grips both a tiny bit loose and then a tiny bit tight and see if there is any effect on the TBE.
Also, check the feathering shaft, O-rings and spacers in the rotor head and make sure they are there and in good order.
Are you getting any vibrations along with the TBE? _________________ If only I could fly as well as I spend money I don't have...
