Kyle Dahl does 4000 HS on a 3S ... but I bet his battery life is shite !!
To be honest for most people even the 3S is more than enough ... going 4S indicates to me some serious 3D / other ... _________________ If you don't crash - you ain't flying !

I have trouble getting the canopy over the 3s packs in my 450's. I don't think I'll ever go 4s. However I do understand a 450 runs more efficient on 4s. The extra weight is also a big factor. _________________ Next Level 650 Quad Copter, T-Rex 500, 450SEv2 & 250

What packs are you running if having trouble with a 3S in canopy ? Unless you have a small canopy ?
Even the larger standard Turnigy and GE power 3S 2100 / 2280's I have go under ok. And thats on the top angled small tray.
I may try a 4S later - just to see what happens ..... that's if I can get back to not crashing the 450 after so long a time not flying her. the other thing of course is motor - whether the standard ~3500 ish kv is suitable for general sport with a 4S ? _________________ If you don't crash - you ain't flying !

Lets not be making fun at the size of my canopy, OK
Stock 450 canopy on my SEv2's and as of late I'm flying "Pulse 2200 mAh" packs. Getting the canopy over the posts is a real streach, even after I ground away some of the canopy's lower front where it meets the bottom plate & skids. _________________ Next Level 650 Quad Copter, T-Rex 500, 450SEv2 & 250

Arrrrrrrr ... I had trouble with supposed straight copies of Align V2 canopies ... the post holes were too far forward - I had to drill two others about 5mm behind ... so that I didn't foul the skids and bottom frame plate.
My original clone canopy was actually a few mm longer in the nose and I never noticed.
