Pleas trust me when I say. The double Horse 9116 is a very trouble laden bird, Please don't waste your time as I have wasted plenty of mine, as well as $$$$$ on parts that last a few flights then do it all again. Buy yourself something without a tail motor. Pay more now save some later.

Alright guys despite my feelings on the 9116, I happen to own one, and currently my transmitter settings are Jacked up. Would someone out there with a good setup please go through your TX settings and post them up for me? The main ones I need are the ones for the rudder. I know this is not an easy task but it would be greatly appreciated.

Hey by the way I just had a guy give me a basket case 9116 with a bunch of spare parts. He had several new tail sections and a new board and couldn't get it working. I checked it all out and the contacts on the tail motors were not properly soldered from the factory, I soldered them up put it together and it fly's great. Now I have 2, so be careful when buying these parts online, and get a soldering iron.

Hey guys, I happened upon a familiar looking Bird today, I wish I could find those blades and the canopy, my fiance is starting to show an interest in the hobby and it would be neat to dress up one of my 9116,s for her. Check it out.

hi tony, i see that you've been having tail rotor issues as all of the dh 9116s have, including mine. On www.rtf-heli.com the have a DD tail rotor kit (18.99) which actually is for a walkera cb180d, but does fit on the dh 9116. this until lasts alot longer than the stock tail motors. check it out. what do you think?

Has anyone with these small helis tried fitting a brushless motor and ESC to power the tail rotor? good selection at this site:

I've had my 9116 for about four weeks and have been leaning about it.
It was working very well until I crashed it several times. Now it has gottin to where it spins to the left all the time. I can get it off the ground but it does not stop spinning. Then it crashs. Can anyone tell me what the problem is and how do I fix it.

Well, as small brushed motors have a limited life, I thought the obvious mod would be fitting brushless motors along with appropriate electronic speed controllers, and those can be obtained from Micron Radio Control who specialise in small indoor RC stuff.

hi again burgess! there is a web site www.rtf-heli.com. it shows i beleive it is a walkera cb180d with a complete brushless motor conversion, main motor and DD tail motor.. its pretty impressive! i also thought about maybe modding the 9116 so it could possibly fit a bigger motor maybe? like a the same motor as a DH 9101... i dont know.

hello, so your heli is spinning because of crashes? have you checked to see if your tail boom is bent? or your rotor blade is bent? have you tried to trim it with your "hand held"?
