While the two may not be identical underneath, they certainly share most of the mechanical and electronic equipment. As for a co-axial going 3D, it would have to be made variable pitch (they're fixed pitch) and then take a look at a 3D head and ask yourself how could that setup be duplicated on the upper blades. Remember that the upper blades turn it the opposite direction to the lower, so how could it be linked up.
Hope that answers it Scifi _________________ Keep Smiling |

tom could you explain how the tail conversion would work on my heli?
would i have to use a lama body? i understand the part about wind resistance with the boom the weight difference would be minor i would think. could i add a boom tail or is that just for belt drives? |

Pictures are the best explanation Scifi,
Take a look at this site .
I am not recommending them, it's just the first one I found when I put "lama boom conversion" into Google. Try it it's fun.
You would have to have the kit to bolt on the boom (the tail rotor is a dummy - take it off if your slightly tail heavy) and then fit a normal "Sport" canopy. _________________ Keep Smiling |
