Post subject: Best Value Syma Double Horse under £60? |

Hi All,
I realise it's a bit like asking 'how long is a piece of string', but I need some of your expert advice.
I recently bought an MJX T34 but the weather has not really been good enough to try it outdoors so I've playing with it indoors. In no time at all it failed to lift due to the main gear being stripped of teeth. I've replaced it and all is OK now.
However, I then bought a little Syma S107, just to play with and get the feel of RC. It's a great little machine and flies and hovers really well - love it!
Now to the point, on closer inspection I realise it's much better thought out than the T34. The motors are right under the down draft for cooling so they never get hot like the T34 does and the gearing uses more than one gear wheel for each rotor, putting less strain on the motor and gearing.
Another thing I thought was bad design with the T34 was using a metal drive cog on the motor to a plastic gear wheel - just asking to strip it! On the S107 it's all nylon gearing, smooth and quiete. So although it's only a little cheap heli It's better engineered than the T34 and certainly flies better, in my opinion.
This has lead me to sell the T34 and I now want to buy a Syma (Double Horse) been looking at the 9053 and had decided on that - then I saw a S031 and then the 9050, 9101, 9104 and now I'm lost!!!
Please, what do you suggest and why, the ones mentioned above are all in the roughly £40 - £50 price range (eBay) - all help greatly appeciated.
Thanks. _________________ Many thanks,
Mart. |
