I was rather disappointed at the lack of true discounts on any online hobby sites. They advertise with big bold letters gigantic savings, yet I found no difference in their "FRIDAY" specials from normal everyday listings. Maybe they have half price on a bag of washers you dont need and that satisfies the requirement for the add listing.

So did anyone find a bargain?

I didn`t see anything worthwhile unless I wanted to "SAVE"
$50.00 on a $650.00 Trex . I`m good.

Same here, I've received like 10 hobby shop emails in the last couple days, but I've yet to see any significant deals.

I meant online hobby shops; Xheli, Red Rocket, A Main, Helihobby, etc.

Still not much use to me in Latvia ... as many that I read about on forums are USA based and usually only supply US / Canadian addresses

+1 on that Solentlife,

Their excessive postage/shipping knocks out any advantage even when they do deliver outside the US.

Tom.

Yep .... even puts Hobbyking to shame sometimes.

That's the big killer for me ... is shipping costs and also that latvia post impose size restrictions. There's a FW190 arf at HK that I want ... but Latvia Post restrictions prevent it being shipped .......
When I add up model price + shipping from HK - it often passes similar model cost of ebay. So I always do a comparison from various sources ... UK ... Giantcod, RCRobot, Sussex Model Centre etc. ..... Ebay ..... HK .... RCTimer etc.

But we survive ....................
