I was at a hobby shop talking to them, and I asked if its possible to build and fly a electric twin rotor helicopter like the ones in avatar? He told me he can't imagine it working. So I came here to ask other opinions. What do you think? Will it work?

From these videos, if you can see how your machine would work in your minds eye and work out how to get it to function, then the components are out there. Take a look at what Hobbyking.com have to offer.

Look at the sensor section at this UK site technobotsonline.com
three axis gyros for a fraction of those currently on the market for helis.

Thanks. I never thought of looking into YouTube. The information helped. By seeing it, I'm changing my design. The body needs changes. I already have some of it built. If it all works for me, I will post some pics & video. Cool
