I am thinking of purchasing a Belt CP and am currently training with this unit on Clearview with the training. with the simulator real time set at 100 the helecopter is very hard to control and hard to keep in a (scale) 6 ft circle. When I scale down to a real time set of 75 the heli is quite manageable and I can get a fair hover. At a setting of 50 it is real docile and is probably not that realistic.

Has anyone out there experienced with this heli flown it on Clearview give me a profile for an realistic setting on this heli?

You may find that the ClearView ground effect is not a strong as it is in reality. I have been working on this and for single rotor helis it is very difficult to get a real feeling of ground effect into the parameter file. The settings are there but do not seem to function as they should in the engine.

The 100 time setting is the one that you should use, anything less and you are in for a big shock when you lift off for real. Remember also to feed in some wind and gusts, it is almost always there in real life so get used to it on the sim. It will respond with transitional lifts and you need to be prepared for them.

Once well clear of the ground the sim is very realistic, but the settings are general, no two helis are the same even if they are the same make and model, so the sim is only a general guide to the sticks not a hard and fast represention of your heli in real life.
