I was a little frustrated at first since the DX6i manual was so poorly written. However, I am really happy with the performance with the two helis I currently own.
After customizing the settings for the Msr it is flying so much better. I couldn't get it to piro so well in both directions. I think it is left where it sort of goes into a tight funnel instead of rotating on axis. Some mixing help stop that. Also, setting the expos was useful for me and having a dual rate suited to really small flying areas is nice when I am not in a large room at work.
I need to test fly the SR but I like the way it sets up and I have control over everything. I can setup custom dual rates. Also, being able to set the pitch curve so it goes negative only a few degrees at low throttle in normal mode is nice. I think this will help me with my beginner issues. I have slammed it into the ground once trying to cut the throttle (got lots of negative pitch). I am waiting till tomorrow morning when the wind is still to have a go with it.
Anyway, I think this was a really great deal for $159.00. I was surprised that every online store and the LHS was out of stock. I happened to find some at just one place (Hobby Zone).
Helicopters have such a high frustration coefficient it is nice to get a tool that really helps. Also, thanks to those that suggest it and offered some help with setup. Hopefully with the settings I have for the SR will make it more docile.

I'm having the same issue with my 120SR. How did you "mix out" the effect? Right hand piros send me slewing across the room towards the plasma screen if I try anything but a high speed twitching spin!! _________________ If only I could fly as well as I spend money I don't have...

Post subject: Wheere to find DX6i ssetups for the Blade SR? |

I am new to the programmable radio and the Blade SR. The DX6i I purchased to tame it down for learning does not have the best manual. The 90 degree swashplate setting only activates one servo. The 120 setting activates all three but is for a 120 degree swashplate. How do I work around this? Does anyone have some setups for this combo they are willing to share? |
