hi guyz
not sure if this is the right place for this,im new to this hobby and just exchanged my blade 120 sr for a century evolution 180 se,as i wonted sumthing slightly bigger, its fp and fbl, well i had my 1st indoor flight last night, and well not good tbh,it kept wonting to go forward,i trimmed and trimmed to no avail, also could i get it into a stable hover nope this thing was all over the place, rtf out of the box hmmm, this modle was reviewed in rotorworld and one of the reasons i purchased it was the fact that the guy who did the review said how stable it was in hover, not sure if i did the right thing in getting rid of my blade as theres tons off info out there for it,this evo has hardly any info,so hopeing one of u guyz have tried it or no someone else who has
thnx guyz |

hi roxter
i dont have that heli but i do remember reading the favourable rotorworld review you mention. i do have a 120 sr and know it needs a bit of right cyclic to achieve a clean lift off which does become automatic with practice. if you do the same with the evo that could be your problem. i think these flybarless heli's dont like cyclic inputs when they sit on the ground. they try to compensate for non existant movement which can cause them to tip over. you need to get the heli airborne before using any cyclic. it could also be your swash is simply not level and needs adjusting. as its a new heli it might be a good idea to let the shop check it over for you and make sure its set up accurately. |
