Hausler helicopters

With the increasing appearance of Hausler helicopter related posts, I thought of trying to find their site. A while time back, I had some Hausler spares from Giantshark.co.uk, and remembered that I'd kept the parts tag...found it...and it bears this web address ‘www.hauslerrc.com' so I typed it into the search engine and arrived at this site http://hauslerrc.com/
Some links but no actual Hausler RC helicopter site.

One link www.sunlikeec.com/ takes one to a company doing carbon fiber sheeting, tubing, and parts including RC helicopter stuff, now that's real interesting!

Managed to find photos of a Hausler450V3 Pro with the canopy off.

The carbon fiber main frame sides are not like other 450 Pro Align or clones, while the CNC main bearing servo mount blocks look similar to the original Align 450 Pro, the front servos are fixed horizontally onto the frame sides in SEV2 style, via the little plastic fittings as those used on the Align 450 Sports.

The servo configuration on the Align 450 Pro was a design improvement over the previous versions, which Tarot and Hobbyking emulated, so it's curious why Hausler took an apparently retro step with their frame design.

The rotor head looks similar to the Align 450 Sports V2.
The Main shaft ( 5x 6x118mm)

A useful mod would be to fit an extended battery mount like this:
http://www.helipal.com/h45051a-v2-battery-mount.html

For spares take a look at Helipal.com, Align 450 Pro and the 450 Pro Clone, also the Storm 460.

If it spins and or meshes use Align replacement parts they run true and concentric, they cost a bit more but the smooth running is worth it.

If you've purchased a RTF or AFR Hausler can you please post details
of the servos, ESC, and motor.

Ok--I have a Hausler 450 Pro V3.
Answers to "some" questions:

Motor reads "KV" 4000Rpm/v No other markings

ESC is Neodym NAO 40A

No markings whatsoever on servos. Manual says one 26g and 3 9g.

ZD 720 Gyro

ZD receiver and fully programmable ZD radio (don't need a computer hook up).

Tail is shaft driven

The heli seems to be well built and rugged. I have only done some low level hovering as I am still on a learning curve on CP craft.

For $200 seems like a really good buy for a 450 size.

Let me know if there are any specifics needed.

Larry, Thanks for responding with the info.

Is your transmitter the ZD T7AH-2400 FHSS 2.4Ghz?

No identification on the servos...they're probably all ZD servos:

Tail servo
ZD-S9257 26g Digital Servo
Cyclic servos
ZD-S0009M 9g Digital Servo (case black)
ZD-S0009 9g Analog Servo (case transparent blue)
I've not been able to find torque/speed data for any of these servos.

With a Neodym ESC the motor is probably Neodym also. However, it's difficult to source technical info on either the motor or the ESC, I've not been able to find a manual for the ESC settings menu.

Motor..NEO 450-4000 KV4000
ESC....NAO-40A 40Amp Brushless ESC

Over on Banggood.com I've seen Hausler 450 V2 with
ZD0009 cyclic servos (black case)
also seen Emax ES9257 digital servo recommended for rudder servo application, which at 4.8v has torque 2.5kg.cm and speed 0.08sec/60 .

Found this company in America:
EMP Hobby, in Miami (factory direct Hausler and ZD products).
They apparently have a comprehensive range of replacement parts.

Larry, as your ZD T7AH-2400 transmitter is fully programmable, did it come with all the settings programmed in?
If so it would be interesting to know what the pitch curves and throttle curves setting were set at, also the swash mix setting too.

Burgess:

I do have the T7AH-2400 radio. Seems pretty good so far.

All servos are black case--nothing transparent.

THANKS MUCH for the EMP Hobby lead. Been searching for something although so far, all is well!!

I bought this heli RTF from a guy in Canada via Ebay. He stated that he hovers all craft before shipping. Mine certainly seemed that way. The radio is therefore programmed for the Hausler and the programming seems OK based upon what I know (so far) although I am quite a novice regarding CP heli programming and flying.

I have copied the program into a second model position and am in the process of tuning it "down" per recommendations from this site:
http://www.rchelicopterfun.com/index.html

I will do so before attempting anything more than low level hovering.

Let me know what specifics I can provide on the programming and I will do so.

Thanks-

Larry
