We know nothing about these helis. Just bought one for my son age 9 and nephew age 14. After charging them they were both able to get them in the air with several crashes in the grass. After 5 minutes the had both quit working. So we recharged and that didnt help so we changined batteries in the remotes and regained power but the b blades wont spin on either one of the helis. what can we do? thank you!

What kind of heli's are we talking about here? Sounds like they're 3-channel co-axials, but be as specific as possible.

The more detail you give, the more likely someone can help you.

For cheap 3 channel helis 5 mins with crashes would probably run the batteries flat. Being Li-pos that would ruin them. They may no longer charge.

If your helis are not the cheap throwaway 3 channel ones then at least you will be able to get spares. As Nick says we need lots more details before giving a definate answer.

Tom.

Sorry to say this but, infrared control is about the worst that you can buy. Best to look for 2.4gHz and ideally E-flight or Walkera. Prices will be higher but quality is better and spares will be freely available.

If only we had a "Look Here First" area for new people looking to buy, an awful lot of problems would never arise.

'Nuff said. I agree 100%, the Blade mCX2 from Eflight would be as easy or easier to fly, stand up to the kid's abuse better, and if something did break spare parts are cheaply available.

Either way, good luck!

Replacement batteries might be available depending on the specific model of the helis, but some soldering would be required.

Unfortunately dacooper, this is not a cheap hobby. You have to look to the longterm not the immediate future. Buying cheap will set you up for short but not for long. You still have not told us what helis we are looking at other than 3 channel infrared. To give more advise will require a lot more information. A link to the heli would be good. As would a fully charged reading of the voltage of the flight batteries. It may be that 5 mins is all you get with these helis most of which are designed as 'throwaway' items.

Sorry but they really are a rip off toy. Looks fancy in the box, text reads like it's the best. Price says it all. However, we'll do our best for you.

Tom.

Thanks for ur help. I would love to give u more info but I don't know where to get it. I can't find anything else on the heli and I listed all the info I could get off the box. And I was going for short term-just a few weeks or so cause that's abt as long as their interest goes .then if they stay with it we try to upgrade if we can- I just thought the short term would be longer than 5 min. Thanks again for ur help.

Also if you have issues with your upper blades turning on these cheaper infrared controlled copters you can look to see if your gear drive has moved up or down and disengaged from its motor. This is a 3 second fix just push your gear back into position.
