Till now I've been balencing blades the low tec way (blades bolted together & piece of thread with a loop on each end). Gets ya in the ball park OK enough, but wanted a for real balencer and had to work with two different size "Christ bolt" sizes for two different size birds. Well the new T-Rex 450 chewed a big hole in my wallet so rather then spend like 30$ on a universal balencer I came up with this out of some leftover Plexy in the garage.

Hey wow that is one cool balancer!! Shocked Seriously seems like you're getting more than Align's balancer too since all you get it a round metal thing that you have to find a base your self.

Seriously. If it works well, then that is one cool balancer Cool

Dumb Thumbs,

That is indeed a cool balancer and ever more so for the fact that you made it your self. Kudos to you. Cool

How did you get the plexy to balance out?

I cut the plexy seesaw part to length, can be any length you want. Then drilled holes to match the blade bolt sizes I'm using
(Blade CP & T-Rex450). I drilled them a little small at first then worked them a bit so the bolts threaded the plexy. Around the middle I cut a grove with a Dremel tool and a square edge to make a "V" in the underside for the vertical stand. Wasn't right on, so I just sanded off the heavy side till the seesaw balanced with no blades on it. I've checked this rig back & forth, up and down and results are all good. Very Happy
I bet this is how the Egyptians balanced their blades Laughing
