Post subject: Honey Bee King 2 Gyro Problem |
|
|
When I plug in the battery, the led in the gyro flashes rapidly then starts blinking. The tail servo will not respond. Any ideas as to what is happening?
I am new to RC Helicopters. Any info or help would be greatly appreciated. Also, when it does initalize, the tail spins clockwise as the rotor gets to speed, ie just short of hovering. |

Check some of the other threads about your problem. I have the same thing and it could by the gyro...the pitch of the tail rotors...anything...having fun yet? I've had mine for two years and it's only been off the ground for about 5 minutes.

hello, make sure you have the signal wire for the gyro (one wire probably yellow)plugged in the right way should be next to the three wire rudder input on the rx, if its backwards there won't be a signal to the gyro, the rudder will move but the gyro won't respond to tail movement.I'm a beginner too,I just figured this out a day ago when I used the rx out of my cx2 to put in my honey bee king III to bind to the dx6i.hope this helps |

I think i solved my (yours) problem, I hook up the battery and leave it for about 30 seconds. Don't touch anything, and my gyro steadies out and the light stops blinking and the tail rotor works.
Give it a try ??? _________________ When once you have tasted flight, you will forever walk the earth with your eyes turned skyward, for there you have been, and there you will always want to be. -DaVinci- |

Also try this:
Make sure the switches on the tx and on the gyro are in the same positions. i.e. normal / reverse.
I had a bad problem with yaw and noticed the switches were on different settings. Flew pretty fine after that...well, until the rotors met a metal pole
Now I'm just waiting {6 months} for niner to allow me a set of rotors... _________________ When once you have tasted flight, you will forever walk the earth with your eyes turned skyward, for there you have been, and there you will always want to be. -DaVinci- |

I learned the hard way that the yaw trim MUST be in the center or the gyro will not initialize. Cost me a second gyro and when that didn't work, started the old internet search.
Good luck. _________________ Honey Bee King 2
