I can see now that my tail boom is bent downward slightly, I don't think it will hurt the flying but it makes it hard to align my CG balance. I removed the tie strap that secures the tail motor wire to free it up and then loosened the 4 screws that clamp around the boom. I can slide the boom back enough to see there is an alignment slot (makes sense) but I can't get it out any further. I don't think it's hanging up on the wire harness but is there something else I need to do to get it out? Thanks.

Hi tpcollins,

To remove the tail boom, you need not only remove the four screws, but gently pry open the aft end of the fuselage so that the tail motor wire can slide out through the gap between the two fuselage halves. To remove the tail motor wire, you will need to desolder it from the tail motor & pull it through. I have repaired several bent tail booms by tapping a wooden dowel through the boom. The end result is not 100% straight, but close enough not to effect flying.
