Well I had a great day of flying today. Flew out almost 2 gallons of fuel, started at 8:30 and stopped at 7:30, talk about fun.
The guys from Amain hobbies came up to fly with me and my friends and we had a blast.
I was showing off my new Flybarless conversion I did on my Frenzy and took her up. Flying great doing some half piro flips and inverted figure eights when it happened, Just as I was pushing the nose back over to bring her upright, the motor quit, I was still inverted and thought "no biggie, I'll just let it fall inverted and then do one of those push-over auto's I read about in RC Heli last month"
No go!!! The heli was at an odd angle, not flat, and under a huge load trying to push her back over, I watched in horror as the blades came to a complete stop. nothing I did with the collective would bring them back into a spin, not to mention this heli has a belt driven tail and they have a bad tendency to suck the energy out the the head from the excessive drag they produce. She dropped flat, inverted fromt about 30ft. I was really suprised that there was not a huge amount of damage.
Broke a coupld of servo horns, not servo damage, (gotta luv BLS451's)
tail boom, main shaft, feather shaft, and some blades. Not bad.
Here is a photo of the new look.. And a cool thing, I can still get my blades back into the blade holder. SWEEET!!

Clunk like had a tiny hole in it, and in the inverted position the line was out of the fuel and it could not suck fuel from the weighted tip of the line,it instead sucked up air causing the motor to shut off.
Oh well, it looks like 80 bucks and she'll be back in the air for next weekend.. _________________ Trex 450V1...Trex 600Nitro Flybarless, Outrage Velocity 50 flybarless. Frenzy V2 50.

Well I broke her down last night and I can't believe how cheap I am getting away with on this one. I wish all my crashes could be this cheap.
Main shaft, feather shaft, tail boom, main blades.
I already have the blades, and the rest of the repairs total $18.68
