Hello folks from a while back!

I have re caught the heli-bug in a modest way.

I am into simple semi-scale birds, ideally in fixed pitch. I like to fly low and slow with a realistic style if I can.

To this end I certainly do NOT need my Blade 400 anymore. Does anyone know of a good place to sort trades? I'm looking for a nice Honey Bee V2 set up and for that I would be happy to trade my 400 set up along with a big fist full of spares. It works with a minor tail twitch which I'm sure is an adjustment thing. It has a full metal head plus original parts and many other upgraded bits.

I will post some new stuff here from time to time including my semi-scale UH-60 Blackhawk based around a 120SR and my MSR with a NE Bravo body on it.

Hi Tom and welcome,

Chances are I might be joining you in Scotland sometime. Wife wants to go back to Peebles. Not sure about selling your 400 , maybe Ebay might be good-you never know. Inverness is a long way from Peebles but we might arrange a meeting someday (closer than Portugal anyway)-

Hello Tom and welcome back from Wales.

As Tom suggested ebay is probably the best place to reach a wide readership. The problem is the rising popularity of so-called drones.

At present on ebay there's a Hobbyking 450 v2 kit for which vendor is asking £379.90
Also three Blade 400s, one at £120 and the other at "185 with DX6i and alloy case, one for £300 with case

Maybe keep it, in time it'll be a collectors item.

I've got a squadron of Six T-rex 450s and six modified Walkera 400s

Hi guys,

I was thinking of Ebay but was hoping to make a much more direct swap.

I guess I have kind of learned what I want over time. I like semi-scale. Easy to fly, no 3D stuff, just kind of put-putting around with my tongue sticking out pretending I'm some cool Blackhawk pilot. Don't need collective pitch and all the Gubbins that goes with that. I keep returning to my MSR and 120SR for fun flying. Just got a WLtoys V912... Cheap and cheerful but my GOD it sits in one spot like a brick in the air and looks good fodder for a CPX fuselage and a police chopper paint job. So if anyone out there has some big FP models (fly bar is no problem) then I can make a good swap.

High lift/longer blades added. Tail and boom beacons and nav lights running on an MSR battery. 1000mah main battery in nose. Spoked wheels infilled. Custom gear fitment. MH rotor parts and frame.

That looks quite good Tom, did you get a light kit, or adhoc with LEDs?

The LEDs were all individuals and I adapted a teeny running light chip to provide a double-tap strobe for the beacons. I used a Twister Hawk body with a few bits added from a plastic model kit.
