Post subject: irregular motor acceleration DH 9100 |
|
|
After a few crashes with the 9100 and the ship, still running well ( FYI I know the DH is junk but I thought it might be my last step before going big in Blade or Novis or TRex) I noticed that on the bench the motor started spooling up eraticly - like an engine that's getting an interrupted gas flow - I changed bats - no change - and when i say eratic I mean fast then quit, then fast again, then slow, then fast, then quit - all kinds of combinations with the throtle set in the same place - it's as if the trans signal is being interupted. What should I try, i men other then toss it in the trash. Is it a bat connection or is it the transmitter???
Help!

It really sounds like either a bad motor or a bad control unit.
A bad motor is possible but a bit more unlikely but it could be because it did crash. Sometimes the magnets inside get misaligned and can result in what you describe. This is quite easy to fix though.
A bad control board is more likely and the signal to your motor goes intermittently. This is a bit more difficult to fix because DH boards are quite hard to find. |
