Just boughtanS006 gyro system helicopter. Doesn't get airborne. Not sure whether it is the battery in the chopper or the battery in the controller.
Controller light is flashing all the time.
Have discharged and charged the helicopetr battery 3 times....the red light comes on the battery charger after about 15 mins.
It feels like the chopper battery is not charging properly, but maybe it is the contoller problem |

Hi, You need to measure some voltages here. 15 mins is a little short for a full charge, but that depends on the battery and charger. What type of battery is it and what is its' fully charged voltage? That will help us a lot in finding a solution.

battery is a Lithium Poly
Battery charger is yxd-0600500sa...output 6v
Battery charger output measures 4.97v
Chopper voltage is 3.86 after the light comes on the charger indicating full?

3.86 is not enough. It sounds like the charger is not working right.
A single cell battery should be 4.18v-4.21v fully charged. Resting voltage after use is around 3.71v
You should never go below 3.7v or you risk damaging the battery. _________________ Trex 450V1...Trex 600Nitro Flybarless, Outrage Velocity 50 flybarless. Frenzy V2 50.

Like Crash says your battery voltage is far too low. There is something wrong with either the battery of the charger. If you are using the rubbish charger supplied then that is most likely the cause of the problem. They are not built for accuracy or extended use. Make a fair paperweight though.
