Hi folks!
I have have been writing on heliguy forum but it seems to run so slow at the moment that it not possible to post messages.

I thought I would give this site a try.
I'm cliff!
I have just got into heli flying. Starting with Symons 3 channel then bought the 4 channel V3.

The problem is that it rotates clockwise slowly and I can not stop it. The adjusting trim is fully left.

Help from the other forums say to shorten the link to the balance bar. I have shortened this link to its fullest extent.

Then I tried rotating the pot higher but this did not solve the problem.

Are there any other suggestions I could do to fix the problem.

Is this a US based site?

Cheers, Cliff (UK)

Hi CliffDale, and welcome to the site.

Sounds like you are loosing power to your lower blades. Check that there is no slack in that drive, the motor is running freely, and there is no debris in the gears or bearings and nothing is running dry. If all this is clear then it seems as though the motor driving the lower blades has an electrical problem. Check this out and get back to us.

Regarding the site base, I've no idea, but there are contributors from all over the world. It is the best forum I've seen for fast responce and useful answers.

I have just checked the lower blades. When I rotate them slowly by hand there is one spot on the 360degree rotation that requires just a little extra effort to pass the point. (hope this make sense).

From what you are saying, it could be a bit of dirt / dust / carpet stuck in one of the motor cogs.

It is always the same point that it slightly sticks. Its very slight but I can feel it when hand turning the lower rotors.

I will have a look tomorrow and let you know what I find.

Hi Cliff,

From what you wrote I think it sounds like electronics problem. I've seen this happen sometimes with Walkeras and from my experience the most common cause is that one of the motors has worn out. The thing with co-axial helis is that the two motors must always be in their best shape other wise the two RPMs won't match and hence cause the problem. These motors are usually brushed motors and they do wear out over time.

The other problem would be the gyro in the 4-1 its self. I know this can sometimes cause the problem you've described. I don't know of an easy fix if it really is the 4-1 though..

Let's hope it's the first diagnostic or something else easier to fix.
