OK guys, this is what I have:

http://www.xheli.com/60h-8918-erazor-carbonedition-rtf-24g.html

I want to upgrade TX/RX, ESC, and motor. Servos are already on the way. What do you guys suggest as a complete system? I hope to purchase the upgrades once I relocate.

As a footnote, I have already been looking at the Futaba DX6i TX/RX, but don't know yet if its compatible with anything.

The DX6i is actually from Spektrum, not Futaba, and I highly recommend it.

It's compatible with all the helis from the Blade and E-flite lines and all the planes from the ParkZone and HobbyZone lines.

As far as the other electronics are concerned someone else here can help you better than I could. I would say a 35-amp ESC and a 3800Kv motor are good specs though.

How do I know what is compatible with what? What are the basic guidelines?

Your electronics will be compatible with any good radio system. The
only exception being that yrs ago JR radios had diff servo wiring,
but I don`t know if that is still the case. I suggest the DX-6i for
price & reliability. Spectrum is made by JR, but will be compatible.
I am using DX-6i RX`s in 2 cheap nitro-planes models with the
stock electronics. Works perfect. Hope this helps.

Thank you Skyepuncher, that was my main question.

As I will upgrade the motor and esc in the future, the tx/rx are my first focal point. This is exactly what I was looking for.

Sorry ... JR and Spektrum are separate companies and recently JR moved away from Spek in design and frequency control. Latest models are NOT compatible.
