Lipo maintenance

reference is made on two occasions to fully discharging lipo batteries in order to extract maximum benefit. Yet, in several discussions, fully discharging lipos is highly NOT recommended.

Have I missed something? Don't want to screw my batteries.

There seems to be quite a few different opinions about lipo batteries.

That's a site I've previously looked at. But as you say, things change as technology changes. I'll tread ([dis]charge) carefully in any event.

To keep lipo's healthy its a good idea to get a good quality charger.
That will make sure the cells are balanced properly and you can also storage charge them if they wont be used for a while. The chargers that come in the box with the heli's are often poor quality and dont work very well at all. The charger that came with my Blade 400 was useless and would have wrecked the battery had i continued to use it.
