Hi just wondering if anyone knows the answer to this.
When I throttle up on my hiko 400 the main rotors spin for a second then stop.
All batteries are fully charged and I can perform all preflight checks without any problems.
I dont have the throttle hold on.
But main rotor wont spin up.
I am reasonably new so I am not sure of what it could be.
Thanks for any help

Hi JulesM,

Sounds you have broken the top or bottom Jesus bolts, they are the ones that go through the main drive gear and the rotor head securing them to the main shaft. I don't know the Hiko 400 but it look a standard type configuration.

Hi JulesM,

If your motor is running while the blades stop turning Admiral is quite right.

However, if the motor itself is stopping, then you have an ESC problem . You will have to check the ESC programming if ths is the case. It could be something simple like the motor timing incorrectly set causing excesive power drain and the ESC cut out operating. Make certain that the ESC is correctly programmed for your Hiko 400. I can't help with the settings as I do not know this helicopter . You may find them in the manual or you may have to contact the manufacturer.

Hey guys,

Thanks so much for all of your help, I checked everything that you mentioned and all seemed fine. I checked the battery with the volt meter and that was fine as well. I tried a different charger and the heli worked fine.
So my original charger said my battery was charged when in fact it wasnt!! (faulty charger)
Constant learning curve these heli's, but I am loving it so far.
Have a great christmas
