It was time to add a collective pitch mini to the squad so I could keep learning on a smaller scale with parts that are cheaper than the 450. I haven't had a chance to fly it yet but I will on Sunday. Here is the entire collection so far. Some day I want a 550 class heli but I am hoping that Blade comes out with one so I can stick with one brand. I do like the T-rex 550 as a friend of mine has a 550, a 600 and a 700. Very nice units.

Your Helicopters are great. I to like to stick with a single brand also.
While at the LHS getting helicopter parts for fleet maintenance I adding another helicopter to my fleet plus saw a Blade 600. I really like Blade. The wife was with me and on this rare occasion she was with me inside the LHS. Normally she will stay out side but I had ask the she come in with me and met all he folks in there. It's B&B hobbies on state road 19 just on the north side of Hudson, Florida. A great hobby shop that has almost everything you can imagine and just a few minutes from our new home. Anyway I believe the price on the blade 600 was like $ 699.00. I don't know if it had a radio or not. Maybe it’s a Bind-in-fly. I pulled the box out of the line of model stuff but did not look inside. I also wanted to see the price.
To my surprise Miss Sharon did bat an eye. Asked if I was going to buy it. I said no but was thinking of it. I was also looking at a Blade fixed wing glider that was not much at all and really nice. She suggested I get the Blade quad because I was having sure a good time with the Heli-max.
Anyway I made an appointment for her with our family doctor to be sure she's OK. We go to the doctor next Wednesday.
Good luck with your new heli.
I really like The dog. I'm a Dog person. Both Miss Sharon and I are dog people.

Hi Crashed_Again,
My mini collection looks similar to yours except I have 2 original MSR's the second one has a Hughes 500 body, doesn't fly great but looks tremendous.
I was a bit disappointed in the Blade 400, until I upgraded the servos to HiTec and the Gyro to Align now it fly's great, I found the Eflite servos would strip the gears from a firm landing, in the end went for the metal gears no problems since. Hopefully the 450 and upward have better servos than the 400 did.
Good luck with the indoor flying over winter, I'm lucky, winter is normally the best time of year for flying, summer can get too hot, and on Saturday we had to scurry for cover when a Thunder storm came through, being sub-tropical we get a lot of them this time of year. |

I am not aware of a 600 class made by blade. If they had one I would buy it. We are just animal people in general. 5 cats and one dog. The big dog is not a fan of the helis in the house. |

I have had some issues with the servos in the 450 but i haven't replaced them with metal gear servos yet. |

Of all my micro helis, the Blade 130X is my favorite in my fleet hands down.
Out of the box they do have a tail vibe issue, but that's cheap & easy to overcome. I have striped a few torque tube gears in crashes and the canopy could use replacing, but all in all for the fun I've had with it over the past summer I'd buy another one if had to. |

Admiral & Crash:
I to had problems with the original Blade 400 servos. I stuck with them for a while but when one cause a bad crash I finally went with Hitec 65mg's. No more servo problems. I also replace the Gyro with a Quark. They cost a arm & a leg.
I'll surely be at the LHS this week. I'll get a picture of the Blade 600 and post it Crash.
My Helicopters.

I appologise, I was referring to the pictures of the 600 if and when you saw one. I have seen the 500, and I do think it is nice, but it's not all that much different (size wise) than my 450. I will continue to look into a 550 or 600 class heli for a future purchase. I do like your helis and I would be interested to know more about your quad rotor mini. |

I see you have found orange main rotor blades. I love mine when flying outside for the visual aid. |

Crash_again:
When I put the Blade 600 in the post on this thread I had misrepresented what I was typing. I was at the Hobby Shop with the wife and saw the big box and though I was reading a 600. But it was a 500. I didn't have my glasses with me. I thought it was a good deal larger than my 450's. I would like to get one.
The little quad I have is really a Walkera Ladybug. I saw it at the LHS some weeks ago. It was right next to the Blade quad but was $ 40.00 US dollars cheaper. So I bought it. It's a Heli-max 1SQ. As I've looked for additional batteries for it is when I found out the it's a relabeled Walkera LadyBug. I like the ladybug body better so I bought a red ladybug body and put it on. It fits like a glove. The only thing I don't like is the way you charge the battery. You use the USB port on your computer. I think that sucks. I went to Radio Shack and bought a USB port expander that has it's own power supply and four additional ports. Now I just plug in the expander power supply out in the garage and can charge up to four (4) batteries at once. The little Quad flies great. Even outside in the wind. Light wind. It also flies for a long time. I thought with four motors drawing on one battery that it would have a short flight time. I think it flies longer that anything I have. Much longer the MSR or MSR-X.
The transmitter has two modes. You can reduce the sensitivity on the sticks to you own satisfaction.
I really like it. It's great inside but my dog hates it. In fact all my dogs hate my helicopters. I think my wife teaches them to hate the helis when I'm not around. I say that because when she's not home and I get a flight on the inside helicopters the dog just sits there and watches? She does not like me flying inside either.
Now that we have a new retirement home she will not allow toys in the house like I did in Louisiana where I had a small bedroom for my man cave. Now I'm out in the three car garage now. Lots more room but in the summer it's much to hot.

Now that sounds good Jack,
I've just got permission for a cheap quad as an Xmas prezzie. Wife's going to Scotland for August, so it'll be just me and the models here then. You could come and join me Jack, it's ony 104~125ºF in my room during the summer, quite balmy really.
