Hi Dave,

The UH-1 is down at the moment, having trouble with the tail rotor, while it is a 480 size helicopter the tail rotor assembly is the same specs as a 450, I have some heavier bearing on order from the states which should remedy the problem.

The Airwolf, well I have only recently started flying the 500 again after January's accident, soon as I am confident in it again I'll restart the build, probably as soon as I have the UH-1 going properly.

Both builds are about six weeks away as I'm going on a months leave, driving from Brisbane down to Tasmania doing the tourist thing.

Hi Dave,

Don't know that I'll see Marcos while I'm away but I'll be having a close look at UH-1 A2-487 (Pictured earlier) which is in a military museum in New South Wales hopfully I can pick up some scale detail.

I like Marcos, used to follow him in Australia when he was racing V8 Supercars, still follow his progress in Nascar and Will Power in Indycar, love to see the Aussies doing well overseas.

I Like him too.

Hi Guys,

Back home after an extended trip, believe that I have the Huey tail problems sorted out, while I was away I had new tail bearings delivered to my mate who flies the Blackhawk, he was having the same issues with the tail assembly. The factory bearings were 3x6x2.5 flanged and were flogging out the CF tail assembly, I ordered 3x8x4 flanged bearing in the hope that they would be more secure in the the riser, turned out it worked saving us having to go to plan "B" which was a basterdised 500 tail assembly.

Early Trials of the Blackhawk-less and the Huey, hopefully both will be flying this weekend in full livery.

Very nice,

The Huey lifted as I would expect a raised tail to lift (i.e. no drifting). Seems the Black Hawk head needs a little work, but they're both really great models. Good to see the current development in their builds.

Tom.

Hi Guys,

Part of the Crew have reported for Duty, they flew their first mission yesterday, neither of them bailed out even with the windy conditions and poor Piloting, one can only hope the real Pilot turns up in the mail next week.
