Hi Tony, yeah it's a lot warmer here than up there. It's suppose to be in the upper 60s today. Now the wind is too high to go out and even try with the smaller heli's. I did take the DH 9100 out and once I got my thumbs back into 3 channel mode had a good time. Boy is that thing tough. If the DH 9116 is even half that durable I want one. Last time I flew it I tore the rotor head off. I mean clean off. It was laying there in three piles. I only found two piles but I know there was a third somewhere cause parts were missing. Connect buckles and parts of the rotor head. $16.00 worth of parts had it going again.

Hi Tom,

Am still awaiting parts for my DH 9116 Sad

The tail rotor died after an estimated total flying time of one hour which is somewhat disappointing otherwise the DH 9116 put up with a lot of my abuse and kept on flying.

I'm really glad to hear all of the good reports of the mSRx on here. I will likely have mine next week.

Like carr52, I got a little 4ch micro single rotor - mine is the WL V911 which is comparable to the Xieda bird. It's a heck of a lot of fun to fly but just not enough for this noob Wink

I can't wait for the mSRx!

I think it's what you guys call toilet bowl effect. The heli oscilating in a ever widening circle. I checked the manual and it shows a bushing and an o-ring on the feathering spindle. Mine has the little brass bushings but no o-rings. Are the o-rings inside the rotor head or something?

Yes, there should be one O-ring inside each side of the rotor head.
Some drifting is to be expected with any heli, we are all of us trying to balance a marble on top of a bowling ball when we fly after all Wink
So just how bad is your TBE?

Howdy DT, it's not so bad that I can't keep it under control with input. But it can get out of hand if I don't stay on top of it all the time. The blade grips had a little bit of play in them so I made some tiny little washers out of very thin clear plastic. The hard kind that you might get a packet of screws in. It seems to help. At the least it took the play out of the blade grips. They don't slide back and forth on the feathering spindle anymore. Snug fit but I dodn't have to force anything. I'm gonna take it outside tomorrow. Suppose to be in the upper 60's.

Update on TBE: the main rotor gear had come down on the shaft. That caused a little play in the shaft. I just pushed up on the gear while holding down on the rotor head/ blade grips. The gear came down probably because of a crash or really hard landings. Most likely due to crashing too many times. The little plastic washers I made and put on the feathering spindle took out the excess play in the blade grips also. It seems to be ok now. Also the TBE is due over correcting. I try not to be so jerky on the sticks. So far so good.
