I dont fly the blade SR c/p heli very often now i prefer the 450 size, but it was a nice wind free evening yesterday so i charged my 4 batteries and took it for some practice in the garden. all went well until battery number 3. the tail motor retired early and the heli started to spin and it hit the corner of the shed. throttle hold on and hope.

Amazingly apart from the obvious knackered tail motor the only damage is a pair of woodies and a feathering shaft. This is not the worlds best model heli but its cheap to repair.

Good to hear the damage was minor though.

i had the spares on hand and repaired it allready had two packs on it today with two to go. i have to stop making noise before 9oclock because the new series of csi miami starts tonight and i think my wife has the hots for that horatio kane.
the sr would be a great little heli with tt tail or belt drive nick but i reckon e-flight have made plenty of money out of it as it is.

I've heard of belt-drive conversions for it, but it might be more trouble than its worth.

Direct drive just doesn't seem to cut it for bigger helis, although conversely the 120 SR tail actually holds better than the mSR tail for some reason.
