I have a suspicion that you have a problem - even with a section missing from an antena - you should have control of the model but you lose range. Think about it - with 27Mhz which you have - we range check with antena telescoped down. The signal is not properly at 1/4 wave etc. So if you say you have NO CONTROL at all of the model ... I think your antena is not only problem.
But for new antena
a) You need to know the EXACT length fully extended of the old antena, including section inside Tx.
b) You need to know the outside diameter of the lower section that fits into the Tx body.
c) You need to know if it's a male or female screw thread at base to attach to TX.
Once you have those 3 numbers - many radio parts shops will have something to suit.
Your radio is in the 27Mhz band is basically old style.
NOTE : Your Rx should have a long trailing wire antena - this is a specific length tuned to that Rx ... NEVER shorten, bundle up, cut or alter that wire length. _________________ If you don't crash - you ain't flying !
