Hi guys, this is my first post so please bear with me,
i tried this sport about 10-15 years ago, bought the best at the time, had it set up by a pro at the club that use to be here (now gone) he flow it around the circuit with great skill,
mine turn: severl times vereing off to one side, then straight up and even faster down,
upside down of course, lots of money thrown at it three times after that, so i gave up hope
and sold up, so now with a bit of time and money i would like to try again, what i want to know is are the servos/giros much better now, ie i get the hele up in the air let go of the sticks and it just hovers right there rock soild, or an i dreaming?
im thinking about a esky kb2 and spend what ever it takes to do as stated above,
advise please,
regards
Mark. |

If you can afford it, there are systems that will make a heli do as you say, but without them, any single rotor heli flies like it's balancing on a greasy ball of air. Just keeps right on sliding off in a dive/roll that gets steeper until it hits the ground. Some of the flybar-less helis are much better in stability. The 3 gyro system is a big help there.
If you want cheap stability then a co-axial is the answer, but even they have to be set up correctly to stay in hover unattended. Then with the slightest breath of wind and it will move.
