Hi Riffster44004,
I do like that luminescent green, might make it hard to find in a tree though, pretty good camouflage there. Have you flown it yet? _________________ Keep Smiling |

absolutely i have logged about 20 hrs on it so far . I am a newby but i am getting better. I am now at the point where i am doing figure 8's and getting good at them.
I am trying to make a meet here in the Ohio area i would love to get together with others and fly around and talk Heli. Every where i go its a sanctioned event and its 15 - 25 bucks to get in and i cannot afford it with 3 kids thats for sure i think i am lucky i can afford the 2 helis i have lol
I just wanna make a meet at a great park large enough for a few people to just have fun with have a BBQ and some Sodas ( I dont Drink ) I will find a place that has electricity so we can all charge and eat ! ! !
Let me know if your interested and please post this on any other site you may visit . Thanks |

That sounds good to me (apart from no alcohol) but look to the left (my profile) and you will see that Ohio is a LONG way from here. The trip would cost a few thousand dollars and the wife would want to come as well, so double that!
Sounds like your making good progress though, it's a steep learning curve to climb, but fun all the way.
You could come here for our Spring Meet next month free entry, air fare not included, but that's not long enough to learn Portugese!
Old picture to show that we have nice things here. _________________ Keep Smiling |

20 hours on it & flying figure 8's... Time to drop the training gear & don't look back. You're ready! _________________ Next Level 650 Quad Copter, T-Rex 500, 450SEv2 & 250

Hi Riffster!
That's a nice looking bird. By now you should have a few dings on the canopy. A few nicks gives the bird "personality" Does the training gear actually help in the learning curve? |

thats the second Canopy i have had to get i have been thru a few sets of main rotors, A tail rotor tail boom and a few sets of training gear.
The training gear makes a difference but you cannot get to used to it you get dependant ! thats BADDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDDd ! ! ! ! _________________ Fly it like you stole it . . . Bulid it like those are the last parts you got ! ! ! |

Nice bird!
When I use the training gear with just a little too low a throttle setting on touchdown, I have the opportunity to get credit for several landings, due to the "pogo" effect from the carbon rods' elasticity.

yeah I understand the fact of the Rebound landings. I have had that effect happen to me while learning also. Its not only fun to watch but makes you sometimes do lil things different to see what cool things that bounce can do for ya.
Careful with that sometimes it cost more in dollars than in fun thats for sure. and the fun part of the landing gear is getting to hardly used it and strategicly losing that bounce factor. Once you do that you feel like an acomplished pilot notto mention high as a kite. then in your mind you realize you have alot to learn. next step is off with the training gear. its a whole new beast when you do that less forgiving on those once fun POGO landings ! lol
Thanks for the reply Its always fun to run thru training memories with fellow Crash test Pilots LOL _________________ Fly it like you stole it . . . Bulid it like those are the last parts you got ! ! ! |
