I really like the scale appearance of that Bird, and I've watched a few videos on its unboxing, flight performance and all, and even with a non-scale tail motor, I'd like to have it anyway.

I know it's a CP, but I have a Simulator to train on, and I have the "training wheels" to attach, so if I take "baby steps" with it, I should be OK, shouldn't I?

You'll like it. Blae tail motors last longer than most. Hopfully it will give you a warning that it's getting tired. Mine did. Started slowing down and had trouble holding the hover. So i just replaced it.

I keep several spares for my MSr and MSR-X. Again they last pretty long but will fail.

I'm sure you'll keep us posted on how you like it.

HEY JACK,

Thanks for the tips regarding the Huey's tail motor.

I found the picture of your Huey on the workbench to be the best picture of that Heli of any I've seen on the internet.

Mine will be arriving soon from the Horizon Hobbies warehouse not far from my home in Southern California.

My first mod will be to paint the tail motor and heat sink the same OD color as the fuselage.

The Army's UH-1 Huey Gunship will be an appropriate scale heli for me, since I served in the US Army 52 years ago.

That's all...
HAL

As I recall the Huey comes with a rocket pod on the side.

Improves the looks allot.
