Many people reckon it's the best ...
Me ? I don't .... but that's purely me. The first lessons where he gets you skidding around floor without training gear turned me straight of. Maybe it was my machine - but the lessons couldn't be reproduced on my 450. In fact at one stage I considered what happened as dangerous. The 450 instead of skidding - near toppled as the skids caught one side.
Training gear for me was a requirement.
There are other online courses ... MikeysRC .... etc. RADDS gets the most votes of forums. _________________ If you don't crash - you ain't flying !

I some times do a bit of radds on the kitchen floor tiles with a Blade 120sr or msr.
It helps with the fine control reflexes of the thumbs. I also do it with the blade sr c/p if the wife is out. |

Without a very smooth polished floor or training gear, you can't do the sliding exercises. The skids will also stick in the grouting of glazed tiles. However, it is an excellent training program in terms of keeping the heli in a box of air, and with the initial stages done with a 4 channel co-axial there's no real problem. The co-ax can be held so light on the skids that it does not stick at all.

That's the problem ... RADD's tells you to take OFF the training gear for first lessons. RADD's is a great set-up I agree and has helped many ... but that single item flies in face of all other teaching steps ...
Trouble with me - I get bored with following set schedules !! _________________ If you don't crash - you ain't flying !

It does not work with a 450, unless you are using a smooth polished floor. I don't think that he says that, but he seems to assume that the beginner will not be using a 450 heli. I still think that it is one of the best free training programmes going other than possibly a good simulator. (Clearview or better if you can find it at the price!)
