I have noticed that many simply unwind the rdio lead and let it hang down from the cockpit area. Others wrap it aound the skids; some wrap it around the tail boom.
And recommendations for a newbiew?

I let mine dangle down. I know it looks better if you wrap it around the skid or to the tail or something but the manual says that to attain optimum reception, it is best to let the antenna dangle down freely (through the little hole in the body).
I've once tried to wrap the antenna around the skid and when I was flying around my lawn there was a spot where the signal was totally lost. If the antenna dangled down freely the problem disappeared.
One impressive thing with the Quark was that even when the signal was lost the helicopter stopped its self somehow in midair and gently descended. Amazing. |

Wow!! It stopped itself and came down! That is amazing!
The more I find out about this little Queark, the happier I am that mine should arrive in a few days. The difference between it and other similar helis (i.e. CX2 and such) is truly amazing.
I have noticed the little things - the hole for the antenna as you mention. The little knobs on the skids for take-off. The whole design and so much more. Yet it is almost a secret.
We have a front porch. The railings have a right angle and will accommodate a nice 24" by 24" landing pad. Just great for taking off and flying up and down the street!
Thanks for your input...

Oh just cut that unneeded extra Rx wire right off, you don't need it. And also cut off most of the Tx antenna too, before you poke somebodies eye out with that thing...
JUST KIDDING...
Don't cut the wire, I'm just getting up on my "soap box" about 2.4 GHz & DSM2... it's the only way to go IMHO. _________________ Next Level 650 Quad Copter, T-Rex 500, 450SEv2 & 250
