Very nice model Burgess but it currently costs $2898 for kit + electronics, as compared to mine at $45.99 complete. Seems you would have to be rich or very dedicated to buy the Rowen version.

Yeah, I didn't look at the price :Wink and there's a great incentive for scratch building, as I've mentioned before I'd like to build a 600 size Seaking, but just may-be doing a larger version say 700-800 size of an Air Wolf would give more scope for detail and that would be really rewarding. Even after all these years it still looks a really great design. The main considerations of what to build the fuselage from, light rigidity, and repair-ability. Carbon fibre, glass fibre, PTEG plastic?, or may-be a mix of all three. Then need to make a mould first...

In the mean time I'll be satisfied with getting this 5-blade rotor head sorted. Smile

I came across this site with a huge choice of small scale helis:

Nice set of models Burgess,

I like the Bell 47D in Mash colours but it worked out at close on £100, I never went further, I'll stick with my my "Little Jock" If I knock up another card canopy it would do nicely. Can't help being careful (read cheapskate).

I've had this one sitting on the shelf for about 3+ years waiting for the 500 to be transplanted into it.
