Post subject: rx crystal issue |
|
|
I just ordered a 2nd Q - a bind and fly. Just realized that the crystals may not match. I need another rx crystal for the b&f that will work with my old tx. Any ideas? I couldnt find any to match that frequency on the websites, I dont understand how this works.
PS I really recommend Q's.
A few people have complained about the quality of the radio though.
The skids are ok. I find that I need to tape the batt cage or the batt will come out on hard landings. And everyone is taping the main blades. They dont break nearly as fast that way |

Hi cgage,
If your Quark is 'Bind n Fly' then there are no crystals. You should have a binding plug which plugs into the Rx (see manual for details). usual system is:
1 Bind plug in
2 Rx on (plug in heli battery) Rx light flashing
3 Throttle to closed then, Tx on holding Bind toggle (see manual, usually trainer switch)
4 Wait for bind tone or Rx bind light (see manual, usually Rx light steady)
5 Remove bind plug BEFORE turning Tx off (but check your manual)
6 Rx off
That's it you should have control when you run the system up again.
N.B. This is not written in stone and some Tx/Rx's may be different even with the same model if there has been a radio upgrade,
So check the manual it is very important that you do this to the book. _________________ Keep Smiling |
