Hello Everyone, just want to show you my newest heli: Hirobo SRB Quark! I just got it and spent the whole day flying it. It's such a nice little helicopter and flies solid as rock. I can literally take my hands off the control anytime and it'll just hover! And that's right out of the box. (ok I did have to set the gain a bit and balance the blades a tad but nothing that would take more than 20 minutes).
Here are some pictures:

I want to take some of it while in flight but haven't got around to asking someone to do it for me yet.
Will have some more comments / photos of it soon. |

Seems like you really beat me to it!
That is one good looking heli And you know yours is the first Quark I see that uses custom stickers. Seems like everyone else is going for the decal that comes with it in the box. But can't blame them, it's hard to find decals small enough to fit helis of this size I guess.
I can't wait to fly mine! It's in the mail now.
By the way, I would love to see some photos of it while in flight. |

Wow you guys must have deep pocket! I've had my eye on that helicopter too. I've seen it at my LHS and my gosh it's so stable!!! I've seen the demo guy take his hands off the controls for more than 10 secs... Actually he was landing the heli and he just down throttled the quark from I think around 5 - 6 meters up all the way to a soft landing without any control inputs! (really he was like waving the controller in the air to show us that he wasn't controlling it none). I was really impressed that it really came vertically down (on movements to the front/back left/right whatsoever) and the tail was also rock solid.
It's just so expensive! I can't get over its price tag |

I've heard a lot of good things about the Quark. Is it really that stable and tame right out of the box but does it actually need a little set up? |

Actually you do have to set her up a bit before she actually flies stable. So I guess I can say... It does fly right out of the box but not the way you'd want it to.. haha
For me what I had to do was balance the blades (both the main rotor blades and the tail blades) and set the gyro gain down a bit because it was hunting when it came right out of the box.
Setting the Quark up is really easy though, and Hirobo included blade balancers and everything you would need in the package so you really don't have to buy anything else to enjoy flying it. (Except spare battery packs of course) |

I took a look at the photo up top and saw how the heli's size in when compared to the CD envelope. Wow I have to say I'm impressed by how small it is I thought it would be bigger than that. |

Is this heli a collective pitch belt driven rear rotor set up? I like the size of it, very neat! _________________ 1...2...3 Blade 400 rebuilds....

It's actually fixed pitch (adjustable) and has a tail rotor. But despite that it's one of the most stable and enjoyable heli I've ever seen! |

Yes it is a pretty pricey helicopter but you do get what you pay for. On that note, if you want a similar heli (that's even smaller) then the Blade MSr seems to be a good alternative. I've been looking at it my self. The video shows that it seems to fly as good as - if not better than - the Quark. |

hmmm perhaps with the msr out now hirobo will feel compelled to become competitive in the price division _________________ 1...2...3 Blade 400 rebuilds....

Yes I would imagine that to be true.
They might even launch a new version entirely (priced reduced of course) that would incorporate 2.4 Ghz technology. The only thing I didn't like about the Quark is that it's 72Mhz. |

wow I assumed for sure that all hirobo would be 2.4ghz! e-sky and twister have gone that way and they're roughly in the middle of the quality depatment _________________ 1...2...3 Blade 400 rebuilds....
