Hi All,

Im new to heli's and I have a small 4 channel that I can fly well, I have just got a Twister 3 DX and Im wondering if it is possible to change it to a type 2. I didnt know that in Australia this is the "type" that is most common. My 4 channel can best switched easily, but not the 6 channel.

It can be changed. I have a Spktrum DX6I, one is mode 1 the other mode 2. I fly helicopters and Planes. That's why the two different modes. I learned planes with the throttle on the right. Been flying planes sense 1972. Old habits are hard to break. So I switch the second DX6I over.

Good Luck with it.

Hi I wanna soar,

I'm in Australia and my experiance is that Mode 1 is most common, however you should not let that bother you, both are available. You only need to decide which you want to fly, what feels more comfortable and natural to you, there are strong arguments for Mode 2 being more like the setup of a proper Helicopter.

I chose Mode 1 because there was more equipment available (in Australia) Mode 1 and all of my friend fly mode 1.

If the people in you area fly mode 2 and you like it go with it, the only thing you need to do is decide which mode you want to fly an stick with it.
