May of overlooked this problem if I did sorry.

I have a Syma S33 that will fly great backwards but going forward it doesn't do much. Is there any adjustments I can make?

Thanks Ed

Make sure that your CG is right on or even slightly forwards. Sounds like it's too far back!

Tom.

Hi Mr Ed,

Didn't realise about the CG bit, you must be very new. Anyway if you hang your heli by the flybay as in my pic below it should hang with the mainshaft vertical or very slightly forward when the CG is correct.

(Click pic for full size.)

Best not to add weight unless it is absolutely necessary, any extra weight will reduce flight time and increase wear & tear on the heli. If possible move things around to get the CG right. Start with the battery. Can it be moved forwards? Is there any way to lighten the tail?

Only as a last resort add weight and then as far forwards as possible. The further forward it is, the less you will need.

Tom.

Great. Thx for share this guys. I have the same problem with my helicopters too. I shoulda fix the CG instead of adding weight first.
