Purchased a T-34 a couple of weeks ago and found forward movement to be nil so did the tail rotor mod which made a big difference.Flew it in the garden yesterday crashed a couple of times but carried on ok except the last time when tried to restart it spun up at about 1/3 speed .It started to spin at about 1/4 stick but speed never altered even on full stick.Have checked battery on heli and that shows 7.4v and fitted new batteries in transmitter but still no difference would appreciate any ideas. |

First thing I thought of when reading your post is that I think maybe the motor pinion gear is slipping. Or the grub screw that holds the main gear to the rotor shaft maybe slipping.
check that out?

Many thanks for the reply Jack.On checking have found the two screws that go into the outer shaft have sheared off as they do not protrude enough.Problem is now to find proper screws or adapt others.Have sent email to mjx to see if anyone in Uk stocks them.I notice they cannot be too long as they would then foul the inner shaft.
Many thanks again at least it gives me something to do in retirement |

I had exactly the same fault on my T-634, due to work commitments I only managed time to fix it yesterday morning ( been grounded for nearly 2 weeks !) . The 2 x M2 screws had shered off at the ends. Mind you it did give me a chance to take the Heli apart and see how it is made. It is obviously made down to a price and i found a few other screws that had stripped their threads both in the Aluminium parts and the palstic ones.
I had a great little 15 minute tutorial at a local RC Helicopter store just down the road.( on one of his small Blade Heli's) Really inspired me to persevere with having less spectacular crashes and not try to run before i could crawl.
I sourced a couple of long M2 screws and cut them down to size then fine tuned the length using an oil stone so they cleared the inner shaft. added a few drops of superglue too to beef up some of the joints. _________________ Still crashing at the mo.
Best Regards
Tim. |

Hi Tim
Sourced the screws from ebay they have all the sizes imaginable if you look for them.I got the M2 screws in S/Steel so hopefully will not shear off as easy
All the best
