Just bought a Drift HD camera mainly for when I ski, but have constucted a mount to place under my T-rex.
Just a quick question about electrical interference. Will turning the camera on and starting to record interfere with the receiver?
I did it once and the blades started turning by themselves, and yes I did turn the transmitter on first!! Luckily I managed to grab the heli and pull the lipo off before it disappeared to Mars..
Any ideas or experinces? Should I turn the heli on first and then the camera or the other way round.
Thanks |

Hi Rdsvark,
My thoughts on this is "If in doubt don't" I have attached a couple of small video cameras without any problems but it seems you Drift HD must emit some type of RF signal that interferes with your receiver.
What frequency are you operating on ? you may be able to side step the problem by changing to different equipment on a different RF range.
Just remember if there is a problem the further away the helicopter gets the weaker your Tx signal and the stronger the interference. |
