Post subject: Tail belt conversion |
|
|
Hello everyone, i recently acquired a v200d01 and i am thinking about making the belt conversion for the tail rotor, is there any kit already made or easy to assemble??
Keep in mind i am not very good at do it yourself (i will become an expert if i keep going on fixing my big lama ).
I would really like a kit or something with all the pieces together....
thanks

Hi Yabeweb,
Try http://www.freestyle-hobby.com/catalog/index.php they started out with belt drive tails for the Blade SR now they are making them for Honey Bee, AXE & Twister they may be able to do something for you.
Their Kits are complete easy to install and have full instructions. _________________ Keep your rotors spinning

You may have already seen this, but a quick Google yielded this: http://www.rchelidudes.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=32&t=206
I'm curious what your motivation is for wanting a belt-drive instead of a shaft-drive though. Do the torque tube gears keep stripping on you or something? _________________ Align: Trex 250 3GX + Trex 450 Pro with Vbar

Yes that is the main issue... stripping gears is cheap...but it takes time to fix it every time looking for less fixing and more flying |
