Post subject: Use of Fuel Tubing .... |
|
|
OK - most know of the tail slider modification using fuel tubing to take out the play.
Well be careful - I did it and ended up with damaged ball link threads and had to repair / remove the tubing.
But I found a good use of tubing in another area :
Canopy retention pins on the Trex frame ... over time the grommets get loose, maybe you lose one ... canopy hole gets enlarged and slides over pin too far ... touches main gear.
Cure ? Short length of tubing over the pin to stop canopy sliding on too far ....

Not for nothing... But I'd move the ball on the elev servo to the other side side of the horn. It'll give the rod a straiter shot to the swash. _________________ Next Level 650 Quad Copter, T-Rex 500, 450SEv2 & 250

You know - I never noticed !! I just rebuilt / fitted as per the 'out of box' but probably that's my fault ... everyone talks of the ball link being on INSIDE of arm - I probably never realised ... I was fitting wrong on that one !!
Oh - dear that's another afternoon resetting link lengths !!
Well spotted and many thanks !! _________________ If you don't crash - you ain't flying !
