Post subject: Venom EVA Radio Bag for DX5e DX6i and DX7 |
|
|
I just got a Venom EVA Radio Bag for DX5e DX6i and DX7 Transmitters to safely house my DX6i as It often wants for a simple transport case when I go out for a quick fly down at the local playing field.
I have always liked the compact and form fitting look of these so I splurged and got one. Even my wife was jealous and asked why they didn't do camera cases like this!? (The secret was saying it was a protective case for my radio as it is so fragile. She liked it before the word helicopter was ever mentioned)
The fit is very good indeed and the look in terms of colour is grey and orange..totally Spektrum. I glued in a couple of spare black foam pads to keep the TX from shifting inside the (double) zipped case so it is now as snug as the proverbial "insect in the floor covering" and I no longer need to fret over the various switches and joysticks protruding from my heli's "brain-box".
Here is where I got mine from for £21.44 plus shipping.

Nice looking case Tom, thanks for the tip. Go and hunt out a nice camera bag for your wife and forgiveness will be yours. Try Jessops. |

I think I will just let it lay there for a bit...afterall, I got her the camera and the telephoto lens!!! We won't say what I spent on it but let's just say I would have a pretty damned sweet heli fleet for the price of THAT lot!!! LOL!
Still, I love her, she deserves it and she takes CRACKING photos! _________________ If only I could fly as well as I spend money I don't have...

I know what you mean about camera and lens prices Tom. Photography is my other expensive hobby. |

One came for free with my DX8 from Red Rocket Hobbies, I really like it too.
The extra foam sounds like a good idea because if the transmitter is face down in the case all of its weight rests on the trim tabs. _________________ Align: Trex 250 3GX + Trex 450 Pro with Vbar
