hi. all,
been flying silent flight for a few years but available time took it`s toll. Now my friend & myself are looking for a reasonable 1st electric heli.
We played around with the alloy shark but would appreciate any comments as we are looking at the Esky Honeybee CP2 or CP3. we have access to a simulator, but are we being too ambitious. Conflicting comments say go 4CH, but others say go for CP 6CH. |

Hi Edradour,
Welcome to the forum and welcome back to flying,
It may have changed a little since you took to the air,
Alloy Shark’s are probably not the best helicopters to get your teeth into, excuse the pun,
But co-axel would be the way to go until you regain your confidence, I think the CP2 or CP3 may be a bit to ambitions.
Good Luck Trev. |

Go for it.. Get a good 6 channel and have fun. If you have some experience and a sim you are ready. Make or buy a good set of training gear and start off with little hops and get used to it, take it slow. Learn all your orientaions till they are boring, then learn how to fly it, you won't regret anything.
A good starter 6ch is the blade 400 or my favorite, the Trex 450.
If money is tight, then look at the CopterX's, they are Trex clones and all the parts you would need in a crash can be replaced with trex parts. from you local hobby shop... |

Hi Edradour,
I go with Crashagain on this one, get straight into the 400~450 class and enjoy. Follow his advise though and don't rush, you make the best progress by going slowly. |

Thanks for the advice, we don`t expect to be rushing into anything, but we will take on board your tips and have a good look at what`s on the market.
Thanks again,
Edradour & pal. |
