|
|
Hello All. I am a newby in Electric RC Heli and I would like to seek guidance specifically in Flight Simulators. I recently bought Copter X 450 Balck Angel. 2 weeks have passed and until now i haven't had the confidence to test my heli. I read that it is advisable to practice flying first through a Simulator. I downloaded FMS but my transmitter wouldnt work. I'm hoping someone could tell me which Sim i can use that will recognize or work well with my transmitter. I am using the stock transmitted that came with my heli, CX CT6A 6Ch 2.4Ghz Computer Transmitter. I already installed the device driver and my PC recognizes the transmitter, but not FMS. Many thanks in advance... |

I think RealFlight or Phoenix will work with that transmitter. If not you might have to use PPJoy, which you can get here. Mapping it might be difficult though. |

Hello silhouette015. thank you for your kind response. I'll check out RealFlight or Pheonix. I saw that Pheonix has a demo or trial version. Would you happen to know if transmitters (in general) would work on demo version of this Sim? thanks again. |

Hi Myrvin,
The demo in Phoenix is not a trial version but more of a movie to lets you know if your system will run it.
The Sim is controled with most if not all transmitters with a trainer port, some require an adapter.
Love Phoenix, Great customer service and free updates. Can't comment on Real Flight. |

Hi NMGeezer.
thanks for your response. yeah, i tried installing the trial version and it didnt give me much to do except to understand how the Sim works, its features and necessity of procuring a full version.
Hope you guys would help me learn to fly my heli. I downloaded a lot of stuff and uintil now i am still scaref of flying. i'm worried that i would crash and spend couple of money again to repair it (instead of me specnding for spares, accessories and other essentials) =)
Any tips you could share to a newby like me?
thanks! |

Yes! Best tip I can give is to follow Radds Course with your heli. Do it to the letter and you will not go wrong. Take a short cut and you WILL crash.
Using a sim will also help, but stick to Radds with the heli. |

Hello Tombo242. thanks for sharing Radds Course link. You know, since I'm still really scared of flying my 450 Heli, i bought yesterday an eSky Coaxial KOB Heli. (I know i should have thought of this before i decided to get a 450) I'll learn to fly through the Sim and eventually through this hobby grade small heli. |
