I say that the type of battery you buy is based on the type of flying you do. If you are just learning, doing alot of hovering, and lite flying, then the chinese batteries are a great buy. I used to use the Zippy's from hobby king, good batteries and always balanced nicely for me.
Once I started really throwing my heli around, doing more 3D and hard flying, they did not hold up to well. They ran hot, short flights and the power dropped off really fast. I started spending the money and running Hyperions with a 35c to 40c and my heli really came to life. Added almost another 1 to 2 minutes of flying, and the power was insane, and stayed strong throughout my flight.
I guess, keep it cheap untill you start to feel you need more power. You'll know when your ready..

Hello zumkil:

All the lipo batteries are made in China anyway so that's where I get most of mine. I got some super batteries from hobby king this week. I waited for a month to get them. They are 2200 mah and 50c but can be charged a 5c. That's a 15 min charge. I won't do that though. To scary. I'll charge at 2.2 with my Thunder ac6 charger.

Xheli finally got some batteries this week and I got 6 from them. At China prices. Xheli sold out in 5 days. Knew they would. $ 19.95 per 2200 mah battery at 30c is a good price for batteries in America.
