120SR battery upgrade

In another posting, Chopper mentioned using Overlander batteries with regard to a battery holder failure. I'm curious, are these the 3.7v 550mAH 20C for the 120SR or something else? How are they working out? I'm thinking about John Salt's recommendation to switch to Hyperion CX G3 3.7v 550mAH 25C. Does anyone have other experiences with these or any other products? I'm just learning about batteries, chargers, etc. My original battery pooped out and I need a replacement.

The overlander batteries i use are the ones you mention but i dont think the performance is vastly superior to E-flight. I use them because i can get two of these for the same price as one E-flight and they are always in stock at the LHS.

Chopper, that is an excellent reason to buy your batteries. I bought two more of the original batteries from my LHS this afternoon for $18 and change, kinda steep I thought. The 120SR charger instructions said to charge these at 0.7 amps, so in the interest of safety as I understand it, and preserving expensive batteries I'm charging at 0.4 amps, trying to limit my hover times to five minutes, and then cool off for about 30 min before recharging. Does any of this sound reasonable or is this just so much hooey? So much to learn Exclamation

I charge at 0.5 unless i feel impatient and occasionally will use the 0.7 setting. Because i have three of those little chargers and six batteries i am not waiting long.

Boy, I can understand that. 40-50 min per battery at 0.4 using one charger, I do get impatient. maybe I can speed things up a little bit.
