QuadCopter

I am agonising whether I should build a QUADCopter or not. They seem to be interesting and complex to build and make adjustment.
Has anyone in this forum had any experience in quadcopter or multi-rotor copter ?
There are many forums out there but it may be nice to have a blog in this forum as well...don't you think..

Hi sbobby,

I have one of the Parrot A.R. Drones that you fly from an iPad it has live video feed through two video cameras, one looking forward & one downwards, its stable, interesting, not particuley challenging and does not give me half the rush that I get from flying my 450 or 500 helicopter.

I think actually building one from scratch would be a great project.

I've heard they're not much fun to fly because the on-board electronics basically take care of everything, but I would think that would make building one twice as challenging so go for it if you're into it.

I always planned on getting one of the Parrot's if I ever got an iPhone. However now that the time is coming for me to actually get a new phone I'm leaning towards an Android.
