Hello All
Called my local hobby shop to make sure they still had a DX6I. To my surprise they told me they sent it back for a recall. I knew about a potentiometer recall that is old news. He said something about a binding problem. I went on line to buy one from horizon and there out of stock as are many of the on line stores. Anybody know what’s going on? I already ordered 2 Spectrum 6100e RX.
Sincerely
Don |

I just don't see many, if any, benefits to justify Futaba's higher prices. The voices made me say that, I definitely don't want to start Radio War III.
Spektrum should have put an SD card slot on the DX6i too, now they're having to pay for shipping both ways on all those transmitters instead of just putting out a download like with the DX8.
My DX8 isn't even one of the PIDs affected, but my damn DX6i is. I wonder how serious the issue is though, I never had any problems with the AR6 receivers in my CX3 or Trex when using the DX6i before I got the DX8. |

Hello All,
I changed my mind based on availability of the DX6I and some of the issues they seem to be having right now. I bought a Futaba 6 channel 2.4g Fasst system with the 7 channel receiver. I have always had good luck with Futaba and there was only about a $30. price difference. No waiting got it in three days from Tower hobbies. Still waiting for the rest of the parts for my clone Trex 450. Only problem is I now have two new AR6100e receivers for the DX6I.

Send them back and swap them for futaba's..
You made the right choice.
I had a friend who just spent 500 bucks rebuilding his 500 and 600 because of his brand new DX8.
they glady took it back and fixed it, but he's out of luck with his heli's.
Yet another recall from spectrum.
I love my 10C. and I can't remember the last time futaba had a recall. |

Congrats! I certainly understand wanting to get in the air faster. Best of luck!

Yikes, he flew the other after crashing one without tracking down the problem first? Regardless, that would piss me off too!
Why did he send the transmitter in when he could have just downloaded the update? |

The problem was with the aleron pot inside. Sometimes it would just give an input without movement. It was intermittent, and subtle.
Also the guy was a newbit and did not know what was going on, he thought it was him.
Too bad..
And to think, he sold a perfectly good 8FG to buy that DX8 what a shame. |
