Hey there NOMFTOTF ,I've had a lot of different types of servo. My personal preference is the align ds420 ....they are digital so be careful if you decide to try these. Generally used as tail rotor control but can be used throughout .They do however use a little more energy to run. Just my personal opinion .!..regards Dave. |

I use these metal geared HK922s on my EXI 450 they work well for me on cyclic and on the tail in digital mode.
At $11.84 a piece they are quite a bargain. Click to see!

I like Hitec. HS55's are only $ 13.00. I have them on my first AXI 450 pro build. The HS65mg are $ 39.00 but they are metaled geared and bullet proof.

Well, to my knowlege, all servos that fit 450s are interchangable, BUT they do vary quite a lot. They are, in fact all digital, there is a computer chip inside which decodes the digital signals to them. However, the gyros send these pulses much faster than the Rx if the gyro is in 'digital' mode and this can burn out a 'normal' servo.
The servos described as 'digital' are capable of coping with the high speed of the gyro and so have no problems when following the slower demands of the Rx or the gyro.

Don't I wish, doesn't always seem that way from here - but thanks for the compliment.

help guys i have changed my servos out to 65mg's and when i first installed them the guy who sold them to me said they were compatible no problem but when i first plugged it in the servos were slow and got hot pretty quickly
and so i took it back to the place i bought them from installed on the heli and he could not figure it out so i left after he had unpluged all the servos from the ar7200bx and this morning i went to a park were alot of people fly helis and one guy told me i needed to change the ar7200bx from 200 htz witch is stock to 50 htz or i will burn up the servos
well i did this before i burned them all up one stopped working but i got another and now they dont get hot but i know i must have one of the servos plugged into the wrong spot because after going through the set up the swash didnt look like it was moving right.
now im real stupid when it comes to these things but can any one tell me lets say the servo under the battery plugs into is that elevator or alieron and the other two stacked one points left the other points right
can some one help me with this im lost |
